Eddie Van Halen dies
Eddie Van Halen has passed away. Eddie was Van Halen's guitarist and co-founder. According to
TMZ, he passed away from a long battle with throat cancer.
Eddie died in a hospital in Saint John's hospital in Santa Monica on Tuesday, October 6th. He was surrounded by family.
Doctors had discovered cancer had spread to Eddie's brain and organs. According to TMZ, Edie had been battling cancer for more than a decade.
Eddie was a heavy smoker. Although, he believed his cancer was a result of a metal pick he held in his mouth.
Edie's son Wolfgang is currently Van Halen's bassist.
Rest in Peace Eddie Van Halen.
