Tabloid Paid $250,000 for Elevator Footage, Video Leaker Fired
A tabloid paid a former Standard Hotel employee $250,000 for elevator footage showing Beyonce's sister allegedly attacking Jay Z. The hotel since fired the employee. According to the AP, the person was let go for "breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video." The hotel announced the person's contract was terminated. According to Just Jared, the video leaker may have talked about the options between staying in a low paying hourly job or selling a tape. The video was shopped around for five days to bring in the highest price. There are reports a tabloid paid $250,000 for the scandalous tape.The former employee definitely had financial incentive to risk the job and sell the video. Caught on Video: Beyonce's Sister Allegedly Attacks Jay Z
A shocking new video surfaced. Standard Hotel surveillance footage allegedly shows Beyonce's sister, Solange, attacking Jay Z in an elevator. Jay Z is Beyonce's husband and Solange's brother-in-law. There are allegations Solange hit and kicked the rapper. She may have used her purse to smack the singer. A bodyguard intervened in the altercation. You can see the attack in the video below. The brawl happened at the Met Gala's May 5th after party. According to the AP, the Standard Hotel is shocked and disappointed in the security breach. The Hotel is investigating. Fans are speculating about what could have happened. According to US Weekly, an insider revealed Solange was angered about something Jay-Z said. There is an after photo.
