A Chicago couple stole the show when they left a tour bus for a surprise visit to the Academy Awards Sunday. Oscar host Jimmy Kimmel announced a group of unsuspecting tourists would join the stars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. According to WLS TV, three days before the Oscars, Gary Alan Coe was released from a California prison after serving 20 years for felonies. He said in jail he found religion and his fiance Vickie Vines. Coe said, "Change is possible....You know what my son told me today, man, and I almost come to tears. He said he's proud of me. So to hear your children say that they're proud of me means the world to me." Kimmel asked Vickie who her favorite star was She pointed to Denzel Washington. Washington came up to the couple and Kimmel asked him to be the best man at their wedding. Washington then pronounced them husband and wife.

Former reality star Brandon sheets tweets "..I will not be the new season I was fired due to budget." He replied to a tweet on Tuesday, Feb. 28. Night Shift News tweeted, "@Brandon Side Bet hope to see you in April on new Storage Wars episodes." Brandon Sheets appeared on the reality show with his father Darrell Sheets.

Natalie Portman is about to pop from her pregnancy, that's why she's skipping the Academy Awards Sunday, Feb. 26. Portman said, "I'm too pregnant for the Oscars." According to TMZ, the actress is nominated for best actress for playing Jackie Kennedy in the movie "Jackie." Portman also planned to skip the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday, Feb. 25. She's nominated for best female lead. Portman released a statement to "The Hollywood Reporter," she said, "Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards. I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends."

Former "90210" actress Shannon Doherty completes her cancer treatment. She made the announcement on Instagram Friday, Feb. 24. The star acknowledged "the waiting game is here."  Doherty writes: "Oct. 7, 2016... not that long ago, Last day of demo, exhausted. Now that I'm done with chemo and radiation, the waiting game is here. Waiting for a test. Waiting to see if  I'm clear or not. Waiting for reconstruction. Best supporting actor nominee Mahershala Ali and his wife welcome a daughter into the world. The couple welcome Bari pronounced (Bar-ee) Najma Ali on Feb. 22, 2017. Ali made the announcement on Instagram on Friday, Feb. 25. According to the Sun, Mahershala Ali is up for best-supporting actor for the movie "Moonlight." He plays Juan a kind-hearted drug dealer.

Actor Ryan Gosling actually played the piano in the movie La La Land. He learned piano from the scratch in three months. Gosling plays a jazz musician in the film. According to the BBC, he underwent intensive training. L.A. Musician Liz Kinnon taught the actor. He worked five days a week, almost all day for two hours. "It's a lot of time alone. You become quite antisocial," Gosling said of his training. Gosling's hard work paid off as he plays the piano, sings, dances, and acts in the movie.

Singer Alanis Morisette is burglarized. The thieves took $2 million in jewelry. According to TMZ, officials said burglars broke into Morisette's Brentwood home Thursday. Feb. 9. They revealed the home is in a very secure area. TMZ reports it's unknown if the burglars stole anything besides jewelry. Morisette wasn't home at the time of the burglary.

ABC casts the first black bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay for season 13. Series creator, Mike Fleiss, tweets, "very happy about the overwhelming support for our new The Bachelorette!!!" A source confirmed the news to US Weekly. According to the magazine, the Dallas attorney is the first black lead. Fleiss tweets about a "history-making announcement" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live's" Monday, Feb. 13 episode. Rachel Lindsay appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and was revealed to be the new Bachelorette. "The Bachelorette" host Chris Harrison said the show would be "lucky" to have Lindsay.
