Actor Ryan Gosling actually played the piano in the movie La La Land. He learned piano from the scratch in three months.
Gosling plays a jazz musician in the film. According to the BBC, he underwent intensive training.
L.A. Musician Liz Kinnon taught the actor. He worked five days a week, almost all day for two hours.
"It's a lot of time alone. You become quite antisocial," Gosling said of his training.
Gosling's hard work paid off as he plays the piano, sings, dances, and acts in the movie.
