Affleck is snubbed from the director category. He did not receive a nomination for the best director category for Argo . He produced, directed, and starred in the film. Daniel Day Lewis wins Best Actor for his performance in Lincoln. Jennifer Lawrence wins Best Actress for Silver Linings Play Book. Lawrence stumbled on her way to receive her Academy Award. The actress received a standing ovation for her fall. Lawrence left press members laughing at her off the cuff jokes in post Oscar win interviews. Quvenzhané Wallis makes history as the youngest Oscar nominee. Wallis is nominated for Beasts of the Southern Wild. The young actress is causing people to compare her to film star Dakota Fanning. Wallis works the red carpet. She explains to an interviewer about her fluffy, sparkly dress and her puppy

Stars grace the red carpet wearing their Academy Award Fashions. E! reports the trend of the night is metallic.Naomi Watts wears a futuristic metallic style gown. The sequined Armani Privé dress features an edgy cut out. According to E! Networks Oscar coverage, Versace, Dior, Oscar De La Renta, and Armani are all popular choices for Academy Award gowns. I notice red, black, gold, and silver dresses grace the Academy Awards red carpet this year and in years past. E! correspondents preferred more formal hairstyles for the night. They like hair worn up. Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, and Salma Hayek wear my favorite 2013 Oscar gowns. Lawrence wears a long Christian Dior dress with a long train. She looks angelic with a soft glow to her make-up. A backwards drip diamond necklace down her back drew attention from E! reporters. By Terri Josh Brolin and Diane Lane call it quits after eight years of marriage. The split is being called an amicable decision. US Magazine reports Brolin said they kept their marriage together in Hollywood by staying out of the limelight. The celebrity said they didn't spend all their time in LA. They spent time up North.  According to US magazine, both actors were married before. Brolin and Lane married each other in August 2004. Brolin is promoting his film Gamgster Squad.

First time Oscar nominees reflect on the Academy Award experience. Best Actor Nominee Bradley Cooper and Francis Ford Coppola's son Roman dish. The Academy Awards are on this Sunday, February 24th on ABC at 7pm Eastern.  You can see who is nominated at the official website http://oscar.go.com/nominees . Seth McFarlane hosts this years Oscars. According to USA Today, Seth will host in front of a worldwide audience of about 1 billion people. McFarlane's creation Ted (the raunchy teddy bear character from the movie) is scheduled to appear with Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg said McFarlane doesn't tone it down or water it down for anyone. The stars speculates  it may be the first time they have to replace a host midway through the Academy Awards. By Terri Kendall and Kylie Jenner follow in their big sisters footsteps. They are releasing a clothing line.  Their fashions are for teens and are carried at PacSun stores. Their older sisters Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian have their own fashions sold at their Dash shops. The sisters launched the Kardashian Kollection for Dorthy Perkins in London. The younger sisters said their collection features high waisted shorts and other styles. Kylie said she would prefer to work on her own line and try acting whereas Kendall would love to model. Kylie said she's not as interested in being a model as everyone thinks. Kendall, Kylie, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney appear on the television series Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Kate Upton graces the cover of Sports Illustrated again. This time Upton braves the cold of Antartica. Letterman and other media members interview the swimsuit model about the unusual photo shoot. Letterman calls the model out about the cover. The SI cover said swimsuit. Inside the magazine Upton poses in nothing more than boots and a strategically placed scarf.  CNN reports Upton said the shoot took a toll on her body. She was in a swimsuit on a boat in Antartica and the model was possible in -35 degree temperatures. In the CNN interview Kate said she was glad she landed the coveted cover again while CNN, graciously recommended warm places for her next photo shoots. Today reports Upton made history as the first model to land the Sports Illustrated cover for two years in a row. According to the Telegraph,  Anna Karenina actress Alicia Vikander won the Editor's Choice Award. The Contemporary Brand of the Year Award went to Alexander McQueen. Telegraph reports Bradley Cooper wore a Vivienne Westwood suit. Harvey Weinstein presented the star with the Best Actor award. The stars talked about the night's event and the fashions. Kate Hudson said it's always nice to support your friends. Juno Temple discussed how dress is a great way to express yourself. Award winner, Vikander said she is honored by the recognition. Alicia Vikander wore a sheer checkered Louis Vitton dress.

By Terri Three of the world's top supermodels are mentors for a new modeling competition. Naomi Cambell,Karolina Kurkova, and Coco Rocha are mentors for the new television series The Face. The Mirror reports Naomi is known for her temper. The Mirror claims Naomi allegedly assaulted her assistant in 2008. There are accusations she threw a phone at her assistant and threatened to throw her from a moving car. According to People.com, Cambell was charged with assault back in 2006. The alleged incident stemmed when Cambell purportedly threw her cell phone at her house keeper. The incident reportedly stemmed after Cambell accused the house keeper of stealing a pair of jeans. The Mirror reports in 2006 she allegedly slapped an assistant and beat her with a BlackBerry. According to the Mirror, Cambell is accused of allegedly head-butting another assistant in 2004. Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and others reveal gossip from the Oscar Luncheon. The luncheon is held before the 85th Annual Academy Awards. Jackman jokes they wouldn't seat the Aussies at the same table because they wouldn't be able to handle it. He said they are required to sit three tables away from one another."I know five Aussies are nominated." Tim Burton said a bar brawl forced him to leave the immediate area. The Academy Awards are February 24. Seth MacFarlane hosts the Oscars.
