Best Dressed Stars at the Academy Awards

Stars grace the red carpet wearing their Academy Award Fashions. E! reports the trend of the night is metallic.Naomi Watts wears a futuristic metallic style gown. The sequined Armani Privé dress features an edgy cut out.

According to E! Networks Oscar coverage, Versace, Dior, Oscar De La Renta, and Armani are all popular choices for Academy Award gowns. I notice red, black, gold, and silver dresses grace the Academy Awards red carpet this year and in years past.

E! correspondents preferred more formal hairstyles for the night. They like hair worn up.

Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, and Salma Hayek wear my favorite 2013 Oscar gowns. Lawrence wears a long Christian Dior dress with a long train. She looks angelic with a soft glow to her make-up. A backwards drip diamond necklace down her back drew attention from E! reporters.

Jessica Chastain wears a champagne colored Armani Privé gown and red lipstick. The dresses color palette is similar to her skin tone.

Salma Hayek wears an Alexander McQueen gown. I think Salma looks beautiful in the McQueen dress. Hayek made a worst dressed list. Either fashion critics honestly didn't like the dress or they are jealous of Hayek's natural good looks and her billionaire boyfriend.

Naomi Watts dress is the most note worthy.

E! reports animal patterns are great for Oscar after parties. A fashion show presents a cute leopard print 50s style dress and a long snow leopard pattern dress.
