According to CBS News, journalists sprang into action by reporting on the incident. Some in attendance recorded video. Others ducked beneath or near tables. Politicians and VIPs were quickly covered by Secret Service Agents. The suspect shot a Secret Service Agent. He was wearing a bullet proof vest that protected him. It was immediately unclear how the suspect entered an outside hall nearby the event when the event included law enforcement, Secret Service, and magnetometers. However, later information indicated the suspect ran through a security checkpoint. A very thorough investigation is expected to follow the incident. The suspect had two firearms. Officials apprehended the suspect. Praying for everyone involved including politicians,VIPS, reporters and law enforcement.
