A new tv program is taking on ageism. The television series  Younger premiered Tuesday at 8 pm on TV Land channel 106. Sutton Foster stars as 40-year-old Liza Miller who realizes younger woman are getting hired. She decides to pose as a 26-year-old to land a job after a divorce. Debi Mazer portrays her best friend Maggie. Hilary Duff plays Liza's  20-something co-worker. Actress Mazer commented the show takes on ageism. I like the concept of the program.

I dreamt about a wild scandal in England's monarchy, must be from watching the television series The Royals. 

Jason Aldean and Brittney Kerr rock the red carpet as a married couple. The pair made their debut together at the IHeart Radio Music Awards. According to US Weekly, 38-year-old country singer, Aldean married the 27-year-old American Idol singer Saturday March 21. The couple tied the knot in  Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. They had an ocean side ceremony. The couple exchanged their vows in front of family and friends. Aldean's 12-year old and 7-year old daughters from a prior marriage were on hand. According to the mag, Kerr walked down the aisle barefoot while John Legend's "All of Me" played. She donned a lace, Prina Tornai gown. Aldean teared up in the moment.

Will Ferrell offers to join One Direction after news Zayn Malik has left the British boy band. Ferrell and the cast of Get Hard reacted at their premiere. According to the AP,  Ferrell is happy to replace Malik. He commented: "if they're looking for someone older, more mature, I could.. like way more mature, like almost 30 years older. I'm ready. I'm not British but it doesn't matter." He also suggested Simon Cowell could take over.  Malik announced he was leaving on Wednesday March 25th.

OK Magazine claims singer Taylor Swift and Victoria Secret model Karlie Kloss have a secret romance. The only evidence the mag offers up is a mystery source and a grainy photo. OK claims the grainy photo is of Swift and Kloss in a heated lip lock. According to OK, the rumored kiss happened on December 4, 2014 at a New York concert for the rock band 1975. The woman on the right does look like Swift but the photo is too grainy to know definitively. I find the idea Swift and Kloss have dated or are dating difficult to believe.  Swift's representative denies there is a romance. The OK source said Swift doesn't want to go public with the romance. She fears it will tarnish her reputation. I think it's possible the two could simply be gal pals. 

Angelina Jolie reveals she had another preventative surgery. The actress had her ovaries and Fallopian tubes removed to try to reduce her cancer risk. According to the AP, she wrote about her experience in a New York Times article. She writes in her blood work inflammatory markers were elevated which could be a sign of cancer. Jolie has already undergone a double mastectomy. She also wrote about this procedure in a New York Times article. Husband Brad Pitt had called her decision brave. He commented she made a decision to ensure she will be around for their kids.

Justin Bieber's former neighbor is suing him. Former neighbor, Jeffrey Schwartz, claims Beiber assaulted him. According to Fox, he further claims the celebrity threatened him, spat on him, threw eggs at his house, and drag raced in the neighborhood. Schwartz is seeking damages in excess of $25,000.  Bieber moved out from his home. He sold the Calabasas residence to Khloe Kardasian.

Fans can expect a sequel to the cult classic Mallrats . Director and star Kevin Smith made the announcement. According to US Weekly, Smith commented Clerks III is filming in May. He went on to detail other upcoming projects, Hit Somebody and Moose Jaws. Smith then alluded to a new Mallrats . He confirmed the movie for the first time during a radio interview. The movie is anticipated to arrive in theaters 20 years after the original, which debuted in 1995.The romantic comedy is about friends antics at the mall after two best friends are dumped by their girlfriends. Mallrats stars Shannen Doherty, Ben Affleck, Jeremy London, and Jason Lee, among others. Jason Mewes plays Jay and director/actor Kevin Smith is Silent Bob.   The Mallrats director said the new project is half a script right now. He went on, "I mean, we've got up until the beginning of 2016... By the time we get to May 2016, we’re going to be shooting... It kind of came out of nowhere." Smith claims...

Happy Saint Patrick's Day. I am avoiding scary leprechaun movies.

Patricia Arquette speaks out about wage inequality at a United Nations Women event. The actress made her speech Tuesday in New York. According to the AP, Arquette said this is 2015 not 1915. She encouraged employers to pay based on merit. Arquette spoke out about wage inequality at the Oscars during her acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress for the film Boyhood. The movie took 12 years to make and is the fictional account of a young boy as he grows up. Arquette commented, "to every women who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation we have fought for everybody elses' equal rights, it's our time." Her speech caused Meryl Streep to stand up and cheer. 

I think Grace Kelly's diamond engagement ring can be seen in her portrait photograph and in the far right corner of this photo.

Simpsons co-creator, Sam Simon passes away.  He was 59-years-old. According to the AP, Simon was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer in 2011. He died on Sunday March 8th at home in California.  Simon won 9 Emmys. The Simpsons series was nominated for a Golden Globe. Co-creator Matt Groening paid tribute. He commented about Simon's phenomenal talents, sharp intellect, and sense of humor.

I understand why the Royal Tenenbaums was nominated for an Oscar.

Harrison Ford undergoes surgery for a broken pelvis and broken ankle at UCLA medical center. According to MSN, this after he made an emergency landing on a Southern California golf course in a World War II era plane. He hit a tree before making the crash landing Thursday March 5th around 2:20 in the afternoon. Ford had taken off from the Santa Monica Airport. According to CNN, he radioed in he was returning to the airport because of engine trouble. He never made it back. Ford portrayed Indiana Jones. Get well soon Indy! Harrison Ford is hospitalized. The 72-year-old actor is in stable condition. According to CNN, Ford crash landed the plane he was flying. He was able to bring the plane down in a Southern California golf course in Los Angeles Thursday March 5th. He was some 30 feet away from homes. Ford's son said "dad is o.k., battered but o.k." According to the AP, the celebrity has serious but not life threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital.  According to a CNN interview with Captain Tom Haines, Ford is a meticulous pilot who flies routinely.  He was flying a restored World War II era plane.  Ford is known for Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Country singer Carrie Underwood and her husband welcome their new baby. Underwood posted a baby photo to Twitter to announce the arrival of Isaiah Fisher. The photo shows a tiny hand and doesn't reveal the baby's entire face. According to the AP, the bundle of joy arrived Feb. 27, 2015. This is the first child for Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher.

Vince Vaughn wades in and submerges himself in icy water. The actor plunges into Lake Michigan in Chicago on Sunday March 1. According to the AP, the Polar Plunge is a Special Olympics fundraiser. Performers wear kilts and play bagpipes at the icy plunge.Vaughn and presumably his entorage wear jerseys for the festivities. Lady Gaga takes part in Chicago's Polar Plunge. Her fiancé Taylor Kinney joins her for the charity event. More than 4,000 people participated.

Madonna falls down at the Brit Awards. Amateur video captures it all on tape. Madonna said she is doing ok.
