50 million people watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on TV. The parade went well despite concerns the balloons would be grounded because of a storm. According to the AP, the balloons have been grounded once in 87 years. The sixteen balloons took center stage Thursday in New York. 3.5 million people watched the parade there. Characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Hello Kitty, and a turkey starred.

Miley Cyrus' performance looked toned down with a 'singing' kitty video in the background. Her past performance at the VMAs raised eyebrows. Katy Perry performed a geisha inspired number. The singer and her dancers wore kimonos. Her performance raised controversy about stereotypes. One Direction appeared to debut a new sound. Afterwards Ariana Grande wowed with her powerful vocals while singing a 50s style number. There are reports Grande is a mere 20 years old.

Hugh Jackman reveals he was treated for skin cancer. He posted a picture of his bandaged nose on Instagram. He shared the photo Friday. According to the AP, he had a common form of skin cancer. The celebrity revealed he went for treatment after his wife urged him to check up on a spot on his nose.

Leonardo DiCaprio donates $3 million to the world wildlife fund. The celebrity aims to help Nepal's tigers. According to the AP, the funds are set aside for work with the Nepal government to protect the tiger.There are plans for anti-poaching and habitat preservation.

People Magazine names Adam Levine sexiest man alive in 2013. According to the AP, Levine is a judge on The Voice and Maroon 5 singer. According to People, he wasn't expecting the honor. In the interview he revealed he cries at movies and wants to settle down with his model fiancee. Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Channing Tatum are past honorees.

Angelina Jolie, Steve Martin, and Angela Lansbury take home honorary Academy Awards. These stars shone Monday in the company of Hollywood's elite. According to the AP, Jolie was honored for her humanitarian efforts. George Lucas presented her award. Lucas said, "her humanitarian efforts continue to touch and inspire the world." Steve Martin won an honorary award. Angela Lansbury took home a statuette. Lansbury hugged her Oscar and commented, "you have no idea."

A judge sentences a Canadian actress to six months in jail for allegedly stalking Alec Baldwin. The judge made the ruling Thursday in New York. According to the AP, 41 year old Genevieve Sabourin made her statement after the verdict. There are claims Sabourin showed up at a movie screening and outside two of Baldwin's homes. According to the AP, she was arrested after these incidents and showing up at his apartment in 2012. Earlier reports stated the celebrity would testify against his accused stalker. He was expected to take the stand Tuesday. The AP reports Baldwin's wife was expected to testify too.  

At The Hunger Games: Catching Fire world premiere .Jennifer Lawrence denies reports she lost her Oscar. According to the AP, the starlet said the statue is at her parents' house. Lawrence said "I never lost it," "that came out of nowhere." Actor Josh Hutcherson said the actress is the same before and after winning the Oscar. You may recall Lawrence's legendary fall on her way to accept her Academy Award. The celebrity's hair is noticeable shorter for this red carpet appearance. She premiered her new do after reports she had chopped of her tresses.

Kanye West pleads not guilty in an alleged battery case. According to the AP, West pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor battery and attempted grand theft. There are unconfirmed reports about a July scuffle with a paparazzi member at LAX. A member of the  paparazzi alleges the rapper punched him and wrestled his camera to the ground. There are various reports of the celebrities run ins with paparazzi in the past.   

Justin Bieber left his mark on Rio. According to the AP, Bieber allegedly painted graffiti on a wall in Rio. He could be fined. There are unconfirmed reports he is accused of spraying paint on a wall in Columbia while he was escorted in a police car. Columbian officials were not pleased. You may recall alleged reports the singer was part of a brawl outside a club. Then there are the accusations Bieber peed in an NY restaurant mop bucket. Bieber behaving badly?

Tom Cruise wants to set the record straight. He says he is close to his daughter. He is there for 7 year old, Suri despite his busy work schedule and divorce. According to the AP, Cruise denies two tabloid claims he abandoned his daughter. The actor said he spoke to Suri about everyday while he filmed two movies back to back in 2012. Cruise commented Suri's mom, Katie Holmes, regularly updated him about their daughter. The media covers the stars' child closely. Suri garners her own fan base.

Drew Barrymore is expecting her second child. According to US Weekly, Barrymore and Will Kopelman are anticipating a new arrival. The couple wed in June 2012. Their first child is a girl who is about one year old. 38 year old Barrymore revealed in an interview she wanted a second child. The celeb said she wanted to get pregnant right away.

Chris Brown checked into rehab after an alleged assault charge. According to the AP, Brown and his bodyguard were arrested outside the Washington hotel. A man claims Brown or his bodyguard punched and broke his nose. The man said this happened after he tried to get a photo with the celebrity. The alleged charge was reduced to a misdemeanor Monday. Brown is on probation for the alleged 2009 attack on Rihanna. The incident happened while the couple were dating. Brown could face up to four years in jail after the latest altercation.
