50 Million People Watch Parade on TV

50 million people watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on TV. The parade went well despite concerns the balloons would be grounded because of a storm.

According to the AP, the balloons have been grounded once in 87 years.

The sixteen balloons took center stage Thursday in New York. 3.5 million people watched the parade there. Characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Hello Kitty, and a turkey starred.
