AMAs Recap

Taylor Swift takes home four awards at the American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year Sunday night. The AMAs took place in LA.

According to the AP, Rihanna's mother  presented her daughter with the first Icon Award. Justin Timberlake chimed in about the presenter commenting "Can we talk about how cute Rihanna's mom is?"

Miley Cyrus' performance looked toned down with a 'singing' kitty video in the background. Her past performance at the VMAs raised eyebrows.

Katy Perry performed a geisha inspired number. The singer and her dancers wore kimonos. Her performance raised controversy about stereotypes.

One Direction appeared to debut a new sound. Afterwards Ariana Grande wowed with her powerful vocals while singing a 50s style number. There are reports Grande is a mere 20 years old.
