Someone close to Sandra Bullock is a sweetie. I imagine Sandy is sincerely nice. Her sweet persona is not an act. The person close to Sandra said there's a way for us to handle mean people. The show stars two men who mine for gold in an attempt to pay off their serious debts.The friends were in real estate before the housing market crash. They could have bought properties before the unpredictable market turned. They said they have mortgages to pay off. George Wright and Scott Lomu travel to Ghana, Africa to search gold rich areas. They battle major obstacles to try and send money home. We learn one wife can't afford a couple hundred dollars for the families' health insurance payments. On their way to the mine they look to cross a bridge. Ironically, the locals demand a couple hundred bucks. Their guide talks the locals down to $20. The Duck Dynasty workers go on 'strike' from the duck call business because of  hot temperatures. On Friday evening's episode, they said they can't handle the heat and refuse to work. CEO, Willie is not pleased about the Duck Commander employees' productivity level. The workers leave the shop after the air conditioner breaks. They go to hang out in the parking lot. The reality stars rely on their antics to stay cool.  Si makes a pool in the back of a truck. A tarp lining keeps in the water. Si lounges in an inner tube in his makeshift pool. Lisa Ling is pregnant. The celeb announced the news to Anderson Cooper yesterday. Ling shared a sonogram on his program. She showed how her baby bounced around in the womb.  Ling said she hopes her child is not spastic. Lisa's husband Paul Song is the father of the child. According to the Inquistr, Ling experienced a miscarriage in 2010. Ling is a t.v. journalist for an OWN documentary show.

According to NBC, Bravo looks to glamorize Silicon Valley. According to Harpers Bazaa r, Randi left her dream job in advertising to help Mark with Facebook. Recently Randi works at a different company, Zuckerberg Media. I didn't know the Facebook founder had a sister. According to Harpers Bazaar , Randi dreams of being on Broadway. I'm not surprised she's in television. I look forward to seeing her new reality series.

Chuck Lorre talks about what he calls vanity cards. The Producer/Writer puts typed messages at the end of his shows. You may recall my past blog post about the 'subliminal messages.' They appear on screen for seconds. Lorre said in the world of DVR his cards aren't under the radar anymore. Lorre's new book What Doesn't Kill us Makes Us Bitter features the vanity cards. He said 'quite a few' never aired because they were censored. They are in Lorres' book. There are vanity cards about the Charlie Sheen controversy.The producer talked about Sheen in the AP interview. The producer said all of the cards were relevant for the time. He said of the controversy, "I'd like to move on... We're doing really well now with Two and a Half Men . We're having a good time."

                                        I stopped in to try to see the Pawn Stars. I waited in line at their pawn shop. The line grew to wrap around the building into the parking lot. The mist went on to cool down the Las Vegas crowd. Celebrity Glam is told a limo pulled in through the back gate. No word on who was inside the limo. I went around to the other side of the building in the parking lot. Celebrity Glam is told the Model T there belongs to "The Old Man" and the Rolls Royce is Rick's. Is the Porsche Chumlee's?
