Chuck Lorre talks about what he calls vanity cards. The Producer/Writer puts typed messages at the end of his shows. You may recall my past blog post about the 'subliminal messages.' They appear on screen for seconds. Lorre said in the world of DVR his cards aren't under the radar anymore.
Lorre's new book What Doesn't Kill us Makes Us Bitter features the vanity cards. He said 'quite a few' never aired because they were censored. They are in Lorres' book.
There are vanity cards about the Charlie Sheen controversy. The producer talked about Sheen in the AP interview. The producer said all of the cards were relevant for the time. He said of the controversy, "I'd like to move on... We're doing really well now with Two and a Half Men.We're having a good time."
