Frances McDormand is favored to win the Oscar for Best Actress

According to Variety, informal polling suggests Frances McDormand or Andra Day could take home the Academy Award for best actress. Frances McDormand is the BAFTA winner. McDormand is favored in the category. Frances McDormand is nominated for "Nomadland." 

Viola Davis is nominated for "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom." Andra Day is nominated for "The United States vs Billie Holiday." Carey Mulligan is nominated for "Promising Young Woman." Vanessa Kirby is nominated for "Pieces of a Woman."

The Academy Awards are at Union Station in  Los Angeles on Sunday, April 25th at 6:00 PM Mountain Standard Time on ABC.
