Derek Chauvin Found Guilty of All Three Counts in George Floyd Murder Trial
Justice is served. Derek Chauvin has been found guilty in the murder trial of George Floyd. In a Minneapolis, Minnesota courtroom on Tuesday, April 20th, Judge Cahill announced the verdict.
According to CNN, The jury found former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty on all three counts. Derek Chauvin was found guilty of count 1 unintentional second-degree unintentional murder while committing a felony. Chauvin was also found guilty of third-degree murder. Further, Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree manslaughter.
Derek Chauvin kneeled on George Floyd's neck for 9 minutes during an arrest. According to the New York Times, Floyd was killed in May 2020. Floyd said he couldn't breathe. Floyd also called out for his mom.
