Meghan, Harry and Oprah talk about royal rift


Meghan Markle sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, March 7. 
The interview aired on CBS at 7pm Sunday. 

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry revealed they are expecting a daughter. Harry and Meghan are already parents to son Archie. 

Meghan also revealed she was on the verge of suicide and wasn't allowed to get help outside of the palace.The institution wouldn't allow her the help she needed. 

According to CBS, Meghan, who is biracial, also recalled there was a conversation about how dark her child would be. Someone in the royal family was concerned about how dark the child would be. 

In late 2019, the couple left the UK and the family's security was cut off. Meghan revealed there was no security for Archie. Tyler Perry offered his home and security to the family. The royal family said security was cut off due to a change in status. 

The couple talked about their media company, named Archewell. 

Harry and Meghan eventually settled in Santa Barbara, California. 

Harry said the couple did not blindside the Queen with their desire to exit royal life. Harry revealed of royal life, "It's a very trapping environment." 

Interviewer Oprah asked about the couple's exit. Harry revealed his mom (Princess Diana) would be angry about how it panned out. Harry said he was cut off financially in the first half of 2020. 

On February 19, 2021, it was agreed the couple would not return as working members of the royal family. 

Harry also talked about the couple's son Archie and the baby on the way. Harry revealed the couple is expecting a baby girl.
