International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is Wednesday, November 25th

Wednesday, November 25th is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. 
Designer Diane Von Furstenberg shared about the day to raise awareness on Instagram on Wednesday. 

Von Furstenberg wrote, Do you know the MOST DANGEROUS place for a woman to be is her own home? Think of that and let's all join in fighting violence against women!!" 

According to the United Nations, "1 in 3 women and girls experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime, most frequently by an intimate partner."

According to the United Nations, since the COVID-19 pandemic, data has shown all types of violence against women, especially domestic violence intensified.
