Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep is joining season 2 of  "Big Little Lies." Reese Witherspoon
took to Instagram on Wednesday, January 24 to write she is 'beyond thrilled' Meryl Streep is joining the cast which includes Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, and Alexander Skarsgard. According to Entertainment Weekly, the show follows three mothers played by
Witherspoon, Woodley, and Kidman in their secret-filled community of Monterey, California.

"Big Little Lies" won a Golden Globe for Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Stars Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, and Alexander Skarsgard won Golden Globes in acting. 'Big Little Lies" dominated the television category with a total of six Golden Globe noms.
The show also did well at the 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards and Critics' Choice Awards.
