According to the AP, DeGeneres posted the selfie to Twitter crashing the social networking site. She set a record for the amount of re-tweets. There could be meaning beyond the talk show host's antics. DeGeneres invited a pizza delivery boy to hand out pizza to the stars. This could be a possible move to honor people who serve food. This stunt and the star studded selfie became the talk of the Oscars. The word selfie made it into the dictionary.
