Actress Who Plays Kate Beckett is Leaving Castle
Say it isn't so. The actress who plays NYPD Captain Kate Beckett, Stana Katic is leaving the show Castle. The two lead actors are allegedly having a heated feud. According to US Weekly, a source reveals Nathan Fillion (Richard Castle) and Stana Katic "despise each other."
The magazine reports Katic will be leaving after the currently airing eight season.
The source tells US Weekly, "they will not speak when they are off set, and this has been going on for seasons now." There are even reports the co-stars were sent to couple's counseling.
Fillion posted this statement to Twitter about Katic's exit: "Castle has been one of the greatest joys of my creative life, and I hope the show continues on for years to come. Stana has been my partnet all this time, and I thank her for creating the character of Beckett who will live on for all of us as one of the greatest police officers on television. I wish her well, and have no doubt she will succeed in everything she pursues. She will be missed."
Katic has not directly addressed her departure. She did post the following comment to Twitter:
"To the fans: thank you for your support. I love you."
