Heroin Played Role in Geldof's Death
There is more sad news after Phillip Seymour Hoffman's tragic passing from an apparent heroin overdose. According to the AP, heroin played a probable role in Peaches Geldof's death.
A coroner recently opened an inquest into the star's passing. English inquests are performed for sudden, violent or unexplained deaths. Peaches was discovered dead in her home near London on April 7.
The 25-year-old socialite was a T.V. personality, model, and fashion writer. She was known for her free spirit.Geldof was regularly featured in the tabloids.
Peaches was singer, songwriter, and concert promoter Bob Geldof's daughter. Her father is the Live Aid organizer.
Her family released this statement after her death.
"We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest,
and the most bonkers of all of us."
Peaches' mom died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2000 when she was 11. An AP correspondent calls Peaches' last internet post 'haunting.' The post was a photo of her as a toddler with her mother Paula Yates. Yates was a T.V. personality.
Mourners attended Peaches' funeral April 21. A rolling stones bassist and well known actress were in attendance.
