David Letterman announced he'll retire from late night. Letterman made the announcement for the Late Show with David Letterman taping. He thanked everybody for their support.
Letterman said he doesn't have the timing down precisely. He said maybe he'll retire in the next year. His retirement is planned for sometime in 2015.
