Phillip Seymour Hoffman Found Dead in His Manhattan Apartment



Authorities say Oscar winner Phillip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his New York City Apartment. Multiple reports allege an apparent overdose may be the cause of his death.

Hoffman took home an Oscar in 2006 for his role as writer Truman Capote in the film Capote. The actor appeared in two Hunger Games movies, Scent of a Woman, Along Came Polly, Almost Famous, Master, Moneyball, Magnolia, and Mission Impossible III, among others.

He was a film and stage actor. The star had multiple nominations for Oscars. He was 46 years old.
