Amy Winehouse Autopsy Scandal

Media reports the coroner who performed Amy Winehouse's autopsy did not meet requirements for the career. The coroner is said to have been hired by her husband. The cause of Amy Winehouse's death will be re-investigated.

According to CNN, the investigation was relaunched one year after the coroner resigned after questions about her qualifications. The coroner had ruled Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning.  London's Camden Council announces a new coroner will take over on January 8.

CNN reports Winehouse was discovered dead at her London home on July 23, 2011. The singer had struggled with drug and alcohol problems for years. The first coroners report suggested death by misadventure-an accidental death.

Amy Winehouse rose to fame for her singing in 2007. Amy allegedly became notorious for her partying behind the scenes.
