Discovery cancels American Chopper after a decade, according to the Huffington Post. The show features the custom motorcycle building shop, Orange County Choppers in Newburgh, NY. According to Huff Post, the television program is in it's final season now.
American Chopper covered plenty of Teutul family drama. Frequent infighting is a theme of the broadcast. According to the Huffington Post, Paul Senior canned Paul Junior in 2008. This lead to a legal battle and the shows temporary cancellation. American Chopper was brought back on TLC with a new name.
You may remember Celebrity Glam's September post when Mikey Teutul contemplated quitting the show. Mikey said he wanted to work on his relationship with his father outside of the limelight.
There's no official word on why the show is ending other than the ten year time frame. According to CNN's interview with Executive Producer Craig Piligian, the arguments spilled behind the scenes. Piligian said he argued with Paul Jr. himself. The executive and Paul Jr. have since made up.
Piligian doesn't rule out the show being brought back again. A blogger speculates if Paul Jr. will have a spin off show.
