Law and Order: Special Victims Unit Mariska Hargitay raises awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay took to social media recently to raise awareness for Sexual Assault and Prevention Awareness Month. The star shared a video of a building that was lit up in blue lights. The actress captioned the video, “So proud to shine this light. May it illuminate the path to change. #SAAM” Below are screenshots of the video. 

According to NBC, Mariska recently shared her own story about being a sexual assault victim. 

I’ve suspected for years Mariska is a sexual assault victim but I didn’t comment about it. I’m happy to find out she’s broken her silence and told her story.
