Actress Brie Larson suits up as Captain Marvel for her "Entertainment Weekly" cover

Actress and filmmaker Brie Larson shares her "Entertainment Weekly" cover as superhero Captain Marvel on Instagram on Wednesday, September 5. Larson, who won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as a kidnapping victim in the 2015 film "Room," plays Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. According to the Daily Mail, she's the first female superhero for Marvel to have a standalone film. The magazine's cover says, "The Future is Female! Your very first look at the galaxy's newest-and most powerful-star." The movie is out March 8. Entertainment Weekly is on newsstands Friday.
