President Fitz and Olivia Pope's affair is exposed. The affair is made public by a news commentator on the season premiere of Scandal Thursday Sept. 24. The news anchor even revealed video of the pair cozying up to one another in the White House.
Fitz is played by Tony Goldwyn. Olivia Pope is played by star Kerry Washington.
Fitz even tells his wife Mellie he wants a divorce. Mellie doesn't take the news well she won't be the First Lady anymore.
She is sworn in as a Senator. Fitz attends after Pope insists but Mellie is shocked afterwards to find out Fitz wants her to sign divorce papers.
