New Clue in Amelia Earhart Mystery
There is a new clue in the Amelia Earhart mystery. Scientists have identified an aluminum fragment found in 1991 on an island in the Pacific. The fragment is from Earhart's plane. According to US News , a press release from The International Group for Historic Airplane Recovery claims the metal was added to Earhart's plane on an eight day stop in Miami. Somebody discovered the fragment on Nikumaroro, Kiribati, an island in the Southwestern Pacific. Earhart's plane disappeared on July 2, 1937. She was attempting to fly around the world on the equator.
