Journalist Tim Burke explains how he and his colleague found out the story of a Notre Dame Football player's girlfriend is a hoax. An email sparked a search about the woman. Burke and his co-work began to research.

Manti T'eo's girlfriend supposedly died. They discovered everything on the internet said she was dead. Burke claims the 'girlfriend' was not a student or member of any organizations.The story is she had leukemia and died. There was conflicting information about her.

Burke found that the photos used to depict T'eo's girlfriend were of a woman who is alive. At first she didn't know or recognize Manti T'eo. She said she had sent him a photograph.
