Revolution Series Premieres
The new series Revolution premieres on NBC. "In a world without electricity an American family struggles to reunite." How will they fare in the apocalypse?
J.J. Abrams and Creator Eric Kripke are executive producers. Jon Favreau Directs. Billy Burke, Tracey Sprikdakos, and Daniellea Alonso star.
The series opens with a man who rushes home. He tells his wife to fill the tubs and sinks. The electricity flickers oddly and everything shuts down. The father hands an ice cream carton to his young daughter, Charlie. The child's mother tells her it's ok it will melt anyway. Her father says to savor the dessert.
The world is in darkness. An airplane falls from the sky.
Fast forward. Charlie is no longer a child. Her mom has not survived.Survivors farm crops and enjoy everyday life in a village. The militia marches in.
The father hands his buddy a strange silver object. He says to keep the item safe for him.
The thugs confront the dad. They think he knows something about the power outage. He tells them he'll go with the militia after they threaten his children. His son, Danny puts up a fight and Charlies' dad is killed. The Militia takes Danny. Their dad lies dying.
Charlie dashes home. In his last moments, her father tells Charlie to find his brother Miles. His brother will help recover Danny. Miles is a killer assassin.
A group goes to Chicago to search for Miles. They find him in a bar. A large group of militia tries to kill Miles. He takes them down with his bare hands and a little help from the small refugee group.
Meanwhile, the militia holds Danny hostage. He makes an escape. While on the run, Danny has an asthma attack in a field.
A woman takes Danny in to care for him. The militia tracks him down at her home. The thugs leave with their prisoner.
The woman is left alone. She connects to the internet with a key. The same type of key Charlies' father owned. The woman can communicate on the computer. The episode ends.
The next episode is September 24 10/9 central on NBC.
